Can you live unwatched in Jaffna?
Surveillance, facial recognition and crypto rules read here for the city itself, not the national average.
The privacy scorecard
The six marked ° below are read for Jaffna itself. The rest are set by Sri Lanka’s national law, the same across every city in the country.
Childhood vaccines: compulsory by law
The only compulsion on the books is the Vaccination Ordinance of 1886, and it is about smallpox, eradicated in 1980. The modern schedule is free, largely given at school, and runs on parental consent.
If you skip them: A fine of up to ten rupees, which is a few cents.
Exemptions: Medical only.
